Youth Access & Support Service (YASS)

Supporting family relationships and assisting young people to remain and sustain their education, training and/or employment opportunities.

Interested?

YASS provides practical support that is free and confidential for young people aged 12- 21 yrs who identify as needing support with:

Family relationships or connecting with community/support networks.
School, education, training/employment.
Being at risk of harm or homelessness.

Youth Support and Advocacy Workers keep things casual and meet with young people in places where they feel safe. We provide information and advice to young people so they can make informed decisions and be involved in decisions that affect their lives.

Support may involve speaking or acting on a young person’s behalf, connecting with specialised services and developing practical life skills. A Youth Support and Advocacy Worker will walk alongside a young person to identify any barriers and create a plan to achieve their goals.

The Gold Coast Youth Service YASS Program is focused on providing early intervention supporting vulnerable young people, strengthening their relationships with their families and support networks.

We are open Monday to Friday (exclusive of public holidays) from 9am to 5pm. Young people are welcome to access our free facilities from 9am to 3pm. Please check in on arrival to access our bathroom, kitchen, laundry, computer & clothing services.
