Emergency Relief

Emergency Relief Program (ER)

Emergency Relief (ER) provides financial and/or material support to meet the immediate needs of individuals and families who are in financial crisis

Help to get on track

Owing money or falling behind on repayments can be very stressful. The good news is there are steps you can take to relieve the financial pressure.  Visit our Need More page and click on Financial Assistance for links to further advice and support across a range of needs.

In case of an emergency or you are feeling overwhelmed, know that you don’t have to go it alone. GCYS works collaboratively with service providers across the Gold Coast region to help you get back on track. This support may also include financial support through GCYS Emergency Relief (ER).

If you think you may be eligible for ER and are already working with a service, then please speak with your service worker about making an application.  If you are not already working with a service and would like to talk to someone about eligibility and support options, please call the GCYS ER Worker on (07 5572 0400) to discuss your situation.

Our Values

Social justice is about young people receiving a ‘fair go’ at the opportunities in life. It is about recognising that we are all different and respecting the inclusion and tolerance of all.
