Our Programs
Emergency Relief
Emergency Relief Program (ER)
Emergency Relief (ER) provides financial and/or material support to meet the immediate needs of individuals and families, who are in financial crisis due to an unforeseen circumstance.
Please be aware that making an application for ER does not guarantee a payment will be made. Applications are reviewed on a case-to-case basis which includes the prioritising of needs within budget constraints.
Help to get back on track
The financial impact of an unexpected situation occurring can be very stressful. The good news is there are steps you can take yourself to relieve the financial pressure. Visit our Need More page and click on Financial Assistance for links to further advice and support.
If you think you may be eligible for ER and are already working with a service, then please speak with your service worker about making an application. If you are not already working with a service and would like to talk to someone about eligibility and support options, please call the GCYS ER Worker on (07 5572 0400) to discuss your situation.
